FAQ

WHAT IS YOUR PRICING?

  • In order to determine pricing, we must first see and create a sample and spec sheet for your design. We suggest setting up an appointment or filling out our contact form. For the appointment, have an idea of fabric/notions sourcing, quantities and any important deadlines. There is the possibility that the final invoice will vary from the initial quote if more or less work is required to complete the order.

  • We cannot give you a ballpark unit price before completing the sample making process

DO YOU SUPPLY THE NOTIONS?

  • We supply thread and a variety of interfacing. Any notions falling outside of that - including elastic, buttons, and hang tags, and trim - are the responsibility of the client. All fabric sourcing is the responsibility of the client unless you enlist our Sourcing service.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

  • We accept payment via e-transfer, cheque, and credit card.

WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?

  • 4-6 weeks per order from the time we receive all necessary documents and materials. This entirely depends on our current workload. If our turnaround time varies for whatever reason, you will be notified when you place your order.

WHAT IS YOUR SHIPPING POLICY?

  • It is the responsibility of the client to make arrangements to pick-up their order from The Bobbins studio or arrange for delivery. Out of town clients may request that The Bobbins arrange shipping via Canada Post standard shipping. In this case, the client will be invoiced for shipping costs and The Bobbins are not responsible for the welfare of the package once it has transferred to the postal service’s custody. Any and all materials shipped to The Bobbins require a tracking number.

ARE YOU A SEWING ONLY FACILITY?

  • We are a full scope production studio, offering design advice, pattern making/grading, fabric/notions sourcing, cutting, sewing, pressing and tagging.

WHAT ARE YOUR MINIMUMS?

  • Our minimum is 30 garments per style, any size range, with up to 3 different colour options (ex. 30 units: 10 blue 10 pink 10 yellow). We estimate maximums on a case by case basis.
